It only seems fair that if you are going to trust me with every detail of your life, I share some details of mine with you. I am an immigrant. I was born in Kandahar, Afghanistan well before anyone knew where that was. I came to the United States as a toddler and we learned English and adapted to the American way of life while still retaining our native culture and language. We became naturalized American citizens when I was in Middle School. It was an important occasion for me and my family and one I remember very clearly.
