Florida Civil Litigation Attorneys
The Florida law firm of AndersonGlenn LLP traces its roots to the Anderson Law Offices, which Greg Anderson established in Jacksonville in 1990. In 2015, AndersonGlenn LLP will celebrate its Silver Anniversary after 25 years of representing its distinguished group of clients. By the end of 1991, the firm grew to four lawyers specializing in product and consumer defect cases, particularly in the automobile, RV and boat industries. Greg Anderson also continued his work as trial counsel for athletic organizations including United States Swimming, the YMCA, and the Boys and Girls Club, and his practice on the plaintiff's side in legal, accounting, and investment broker malpractice.
By 1994, the firm had grown to eight attorneys including the addition of John Glenn and Don St. Denis, and experienced national notoriety during the next few years in its role as trial counsel to the Trustee in Bankruptcy for Ryder/P*I*E Trucking, which had gone bankrupt in 1990 amid allegations of an organized crime takeover. The firm recovered over $24 million for the Estate?virtually the only money? which could go to unsecured creditors and employees.
Attorneys, St. Denis and Glenn, became shareholders in 1996, and the firm's name was changed to Anderson St. Denis & Glenn. The firm's practice continued to expand in the area of insurance defense, product liability and commercial litigation. Significant defense verdicts for the world's third largest auto manufacturer, world's largest boat manufacturer and the third largest RV manufacturer cemented the firm's reputation as an aggressive trial practice firm able to take on the most sophisticated product and commercial cases. The firm opened a South Florida office in Boca Raton to handle the influx of products liability, warranty defense and corporate defense matters, with John Glenn heading up the office as its managing partner.
The firm grew to 15 attorneys by 2004, practicing not only in the established areas of commercial, insurance and products liability, but also in labor defense and admiralty. During that time, Greg Anderson was lead counsel in the acquisition of the iconic SS United States ocean liner and served as General Counsel to the USS Williamsburg presidential yacht restoration project.
In 2005, with the departure of Don St. Denis, who left to form another law firm, the present day entity of AndersonGlenn LLP was formed and relocated to its offices in Ponte Vedra Beach, a suburb of Jacksonville.
The attorneys' outstanding work in warranty defense garnered recognition in 2006, when DaimlerChrysler named AndersonGlenn LLP Southeast Regional Warranty Counsel and presented the firm with an award for its accomplishments in defeating the so-called "lemon law" mill firms. Subsequently, the firm became outside general counsel for a number of boat manufacturers and began representing several of its clients nationally.
Currently our law firm has seven lawyers in the North Florida office in the Jacksonville area and two in our South Florida office, located in Boca Raton. Our attorneys continue providing trusted and personalized legal services for commercial clients in complex commercial products and insurance cases.
