Brown Willbrand, P.C. is one of the oldest law firms in Columbia, Missouri. The firm currently consists of six attorneys who are the product of rigorous standards and an exceptional legacy. Brown Willbrand, P.C. began as a partnership in 1955, when John Cainstraight and Ed Brown (1926-1980) formed Cainstraight & Brown. In 1959, Scott O. Wright (1923-2016) joined the firm. Herb Willbrand followed in 1960 and Dan Simon in 1975. In 1979, Scott Wright left the firm when he was appointed as a Western District of Missouri federal court judge. Jim Powell became a shareholder in 1997 and Marjorie Lewis in 2007, and the firm became Brown, Willbrand, Simon, Powell & Lewis, P.C. Karen Hajicek and Caleb Colbert became shareholders in 2015 and the firm became Brown Willbrand, P.C.
