PLATT AND WESTBY, P.C. remains open to serve you. Along with the Courts in Maricopa County, we are taking precautions for your safety by conducting client appointments and pending business/court appearances by telephone conference, video conference and e-mail to the extent possible. We have transitioned to a work at home policy for our lawyers and staff. All personnel have the necessary online access, tools and equipment to continue their prompt and effective service. All remain available by telephone and e-mail. Physical mail received in our office is distributed electronically daily. Our main office remains open for essential business personnel and business needs. Maricopa County Courts remain open for new filings and emergency matters. Currently, most civil hearings are being postponed.

The law firm of Platt & Westby, P.C., was created in 1973 by merging the practices of Harvey B. Platt and Peter H. Westby to establish a comprehensive and innovative law practice that could meet most of the legal needs of families and businesses in the Phoenix areas we serve.

All our attorneys have many years of legal experience and have demonstrated track records of success. For example, in the area of real estate and business law, partners Harvey Platt and Peter Westby are themselves small business owners as well as real estate investors, landlords and property managers and have been so for nearly 40 years. Peter Westby held an Arizona real estate salesman's license for many years and Harvey Platt was a title examiner prior to entering the practice of law.

We are equally impressed with the attorneys who work with Platt & Westby, P.C., and the backgrounds they bring to enrich our practice. Also well versed in litigation is Partner Andrew Rahtz who excels in the courtroom when advocating on clients' behalf. Associate attorney Elizabeth Westby is an aggressive advocate and has skills that allow her to work well with clients who sometimes find themselves in emotionally charged situations. Associate attorney Mallory Powers' attention to detail and analytical skills are first rate. She provides insightful analysis and direction to Clients of the firm. Ms. Powers has extensive experience in the area of Bankruptcy Law. Associate attorney Alexandra Kurtyka is the newest addition to the Platt and Westby team. She is bilingual with fluency in Polish and looks forward to making use of her training in business, real estate and commercial litigation.
