Michael D. Rudy founded the firm in 1992 as a general commercial practice. In 1998, Stephen B. MacDonald joined the firm as senior partner in the litigation department. Ralph J. O'Neill and Robert M. Yamauchi joined soon after as partners, and the firm has continued to expand.

All of our senior partners have more than 25 years of experience in Hawaii, and we represent both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and the state court of Hawaii. Our clients range from individuals to local businesses to large mainland firms.
