The firm takes data management seriously and is known for its cooperative working relationship with its Data Analytics team. The firm has a collegial atmosphere and offers a number of benefits, such as 20 days of paid time off plus holidays and the ability to work on front page newsworthy cases.
The only downsides to working at WilmerHale are its downtown location, which can be inconvenient, and the fact that the discovery attorneys are not allowed to work remotely full-time, even though there is no need to come into the office. Before the pandemic, WilmerHale allowed its discovery attorneys to work from home 2-3 days a week, but this flexibility has been removed post-covid. This is in contrast to other firms that have adopted the same practice.
Overall, WilmerHale is a good place to work for those who are looking for a challenging yet rewarding career in the legal industry. The firm values its data analytics team and strives to provide a supportive work environment. The paid time off and holidays are also great benefits, and the opportunity to work on high-profile cases is a major draw. The downtown location and lack of remote work flexibility for discovery attorneys are the only drawbacks to working at WilmerHale.
