Gateway Law was incorporated and formed through a strategic merger with the local practice of Max Ng & Co on 15 March 2006. The name Gateway is symbolic of the firm's desire to be a gateway to success for all its clients. Our local as well as international clients will find the firm their gateway to Asia as we protect and enhance their legal and commercial interests in this region.

The formation of Gateway Law is an important milestone, and represents our desire to service our clients in a more effective manner. Gateway has offices, people and associated offices in Malaysia, Hong Kong, the Philippines and in other South East Asian countries. Such associations allow us to leverage on the skills and expertise of numerous legal associates, patent attorneys, trade mark executives and other professionals in these countries. Together, our combined presence covers the leading cities in Asia, and our team will continue to provide the same personalised and professional legal services that our clients have come to expect from us over the years.

In January 2013, we expanded our capabilities by adding a real estate advisory practice, and enlarged our dispute resolution practice to include general litigation, medical law, criminal law and family law. We continue to grow our founding practice areas of intellectual property advisory and enforcement, corporate and commercial law, technology and communications, and media and entertainment.
