Pros: 4.0 Former Employee, more than 3 yearsOverall Good Firm to Work For-with a few exceptionsAnonymous Employee ProsGreat health benefits, Orca card, 401k with matching. Fun events, such as holiday parties, Mariner's games, welcome parties for new attorneys, baby and bridal showers, jeans and jerseys allowed on Fridays.Cons3 month waiting period before benefits kick in, next to impossible to get any time off for holidays (or without planning a year or more in advance), very unequal workloads for staff. Holiday "bonuses" are next to nonexistent compared to other firms I have worked for.

Pros: 5.0 Current Employee, more than 1 yearGreat Place to WorkAnonymous Employee ProsGreat people, great benefits, and fun activities for the staff on a pretty regular basis. Going off what the last person wrote from back in 2014, changes do happen and being at a firm that has been successful in Seattle since 1904, things/methods can and do change but sometimes at a slower rate. You have to propose change with specific reason and facts, as to why your said change is better than the current method. I have found that everyone here is usually open to hear out your idea and further talk it out with you, whether they decide to try out your idea or not. You may just not understand the whole picture and learn why the current way is best for the whole firm. Also, referring to the last post on here, KTC does now have casually Fridays, including the option of wearing jeans. Other things: -The location of the office is in the heart of downtown Seattle and couldn't be better if you take public transit. -You will feel valued as an employee here at KTC. -KTC is involved in various different community service/philantropy projects every year, and supportive of many charities that you can get involved in. I enjoy the people that I work with and don't plan to leave anytime soon.ConsOnly one: Sometimes you have rearrange your priorities on extremely short notice for deadlines you did not expect. There is nothing you can do about it and must be able to handle it. That's the way it works at a law firm (really, any law firm) at times. If you need help, there is always someone to help. though.
