Included in our practice are implementation and legal review of Safety Management Systems, vessel financing programs, systems providing commercial payment mechanisms (negotiable instruments, letters of credit, drafts and the like), insurance premium financing programs, Homeland Security Compliance (including customs and immigration), shipyard and marina management, and marine regulatory (including environmental) compliance. We also provide individualized advices in areas such as, vessel purchases, sales and charters, vessel financing, marine contracts, crew management (policies, contracts and compensation), products liability, products and services warranties, salvage, carriage of passengers and cargoes, and, concessionaire/shipowner relationships. A significant portion of our practice is dedicated to counseling clients with regard to policy drafting and the scope of different insurance products. The depth of experience and knowledge of our attorneys extends broadly across first and third party lines of insurance, with emphasis on general liability, property loss and damage, marine liability-protection and indemnity, hull and machinery, and professional liability (errors and omissions) policies, as well as insurance agent and broker liabilities, and bad faith.
