Founded by Managing Partner, James Selmer in 1983, JSL offers more than 29 years' experience handling a wide variety of litigation and transactional matters for both private and public sector clients. Experience

The senior attorneys at J. Selmer Law have more than 100 years' legal experience handling litigation at every stage of the legal process, from pretrial through the appellate level. Experience counts just as much in managing business transactions for our clients. Unlike other lawyers, we are focused and extremely proficient in handling our clients' business and legal needs. We do not see a clear-cut distinction between transactional matters and litigation work. Whether we are negotiating a deal or drafting a contract, we know that to protect our clients' interests, we must keep a sharp eye on all possible scenarios, including those that could lead to litigation. By knowing how and why lawsuits start, we structure deals so as to prevent them from occurring altogether.
