Dolan & Besser

The law firm of Dolan & Besser is a general practice firm located in Litchfield, Minnesota. Litchfield is the seat of Meeker County, and lies in the oak savannah region of central Minnesota ? the area where the "big woods" met the "tall grass prairie" of the north central states ? approximately 64 miles WNW of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

The law firm is an offshoot of a former Twin Cities business and litigation firm. Founder William H. Dolan served through the 1980's as Meeker County Attorney, and in 1990 he resigned and joined the Minnetonka based firm ? then known as Henretta, Cross & Ness ? to serve as their business litigation counsel. The renamed firm, Henretta, Cross, Ness & Dolan, opened a satellite office in Litchfield that same year, to be managed by Mr. Dolan.

As the 1990's progressed, the legal market changed and the Litchfield office became a wholly independent firm, ultimately changing its name to Dolan & Besser in December of 1999.
