David Downard founded Downard & Associates with one thing in mind: to help people and families get the help they deserved in times of need. It has become a tradition that continues today.

Mr. Downard first met his wife Lonna when she worked for the firm in 2006. They became good friends and shared a passion for helping clients obtain social security benefits. When Lonna left to pursue her education and eventually work for a Nashville Bankruptcy firm, they stayed in touch.

Years later, he called on Lonna to return to Downard and help grow the business. What they didn't expect was to become partners in life! They were married in 2016 and soon embarked on a journey to expand Downard to include bankruptcy and personal injury. Lonna was instrumental in adding bankruptcy to the services offered at the firm because both she and her husband saw a growing need with existing clients for debt relief. They shared a vision to create more of a "one stop shop" for clients who had become accustomed to working with Downard's attorneys and support staff.

When David Downard became sick, his wife quickly took the reigns and not only managed the firm, but continued to foster their vision and grow the business. Today that vision is a reality. Along with an incredible staff of lawyers, paralegals and support staff, Lonna has continued her husband's legacy of helping clients get the benefits they deserve and the debt relief they need.
