Our expertise in international and interstate transactions is unparalleled, due to our geographical proximity to the Texas and New Mexico border, and the U.S. and Mexico border; with many of the attorneys possessing bilingual fluency in English and Spanish. In addition to being licensed in Texas, many of the Firm's attorneys are licensed in New Mexico and Colorado. We are seasoned professionals with diverse backgrounds, including experience practicing at larger firms, with a number of attorneys maintaining licensure or certifications as CPA's and real estate brokers, allowing us to provide clients with a unique perspective from a comprehensive knowledge-base. It all started as an idea on the back of a napkin in 1994 when five El Paso-area attorneys came together with a common idea, to leave the convention of a big law firm and start a high quality business boutique law firm that allowed the Firm to focus on client satisfaction. With the advent of the internet - giving attorneys instant access to large law libraries and other critical information - the opportunity was there and the timing was right. Originally located off Viscount in East El Paso, with no furniture, limited space and computers hooked up to extension cords to prevent tripped breakers, Andrew B. Krafsur, H. Christopher Mott and Carlos A. Miranda III began representing clients in early March. By April, Patrick R. Gordon and Gary D. Sanders joined the Firm, named Krafsur Gordon Mott Sanders & Miranda, PC. The areas of practice included tax, corporate transactions, bankruptcy and creditor's rights. Over the next few years, the Firm added new partners and associates and expanded their practice areas to meet demand and better serve clients. In 1997, the addition of Darren G. Woody brought an expertise in construction and Harrel L. Davis III focused on bankruptcy and litigation. By 1998, the Firm had outgrown the Viscount location and moved to it's current location on Mesa, in West El Paso. Since then, the Firm has expanded practice areas and added more attorneys while continuing to serve clients and maintain a commitment to our core values of trust, integrity, respect, accountability, dedication, and excellence. In August 2010, the Firm became Gordon Davis Johnson & Shane P.C. and opened a larger wing of the current office, increasing the Firm's attorneys to the 17 practicing today.
