Wealth of experience

The firm specialises in all matters commercial, including intellectual property, estate administration, conveyancing, mergers and acquisitions, finance and infrastructure transactions, cross-border financing, due diligence reviews and reports, tenement reports, legal opinions, contractual drafting, advising and representing clients in negotiations and drafting subsequent agreements, and the provision of advisory and regulatory services to corporate and commercial entities in various sectors such as mining, environment, petroleum and energy, information technology and telecommunications.

The firm also has an active litigation department in respect of general civil and commercial matters, as well as matters relating to labour, trademark litigation, mining law, competition law and mergers and acquisitions.

ESP also has long standing relationships with correspondent firms and act on instructions of some of the most prominent legal firms in South Africa and globally. During 2013, ESP concluded a Collaboration Agreement with the eminent South African practice Webber Wentzel, through which ESP can access capacity and experience not otherwise available in Namibia.

We also do frequent pro bono work involving individuals or organisations involved in worthy causes and provide legal assistance to these individuals or organisations when required.

ESP also has a standing agreement with Global Business Labs, a Norwegian funded programme that identifies worthy entrepreneurial projects in various developing countries, in terms whereof we form part of the panel evaluating Namibian based or borne projects and provide free legal advice to empower identified local entrepreneurs for a given period.
