Mr. Amitava Majumdar (Raja), our Managing Partner has over two decades experience in the industry. His expertise encapsulates all facets in shipping and trade which inter-alia includes contentious and non-contentious/regulatory practice. Additionally he has been involved in a number of wet casualty matters in India including but not limited to the MT Genessa, MV Amber L, MV Prabhu Daya, MSC Chitra ? MV Khalija-1 and MV Den Den casualties. He has appeared before Courts all across India and arbitrations in India and abroad. He proffered expert evidence on Indian law and Indian civil procedure before the English High Court in the matter of Ultrabulk A/S v Arun Kumar Jagatramka [2017] EWHC 2792 (Comm) and The Jag Ravi [2011] EWHC 1372 (Comm) in addition to proceedings before the Singaporean Courts. Mr. Majumdar is one of the foremost Indian practitioners in ship sale and purchase transactions and regularly represents Indian ship-owners in closings in Singapore, London, Hong Kong, Greece, Italy, United States of America, Dubai, Hamburg, Bulgaria, Japan for various types of vessel. Mr. Majumdar has regularly been regulated as a Band 1 practitioner in the field of shipping by both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.

Mr. Aditya Krishnamurthy has been recently taken as a Partner after being associated with the firm for over ten years. He has over a decade's experience in the industry and has previously worked in two English law firms in Singapore. Aditya is a commercial litigator and heads the firm's fraud, asset tracing and insolvency team. He specializes in complex, high value cross-border fraud and insolvency matters, including those which involve enforcing foreign arbitral awards and judgments in India. Mr. Krishnamurthy holds an LL.M in Maritime Law from the University of Southampton (UK) and has been mentioned in Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2018 as a "next generation lawyer".

Mrs. Medha Pradhan has been with the firm for over 9 years and heads the firm's non-contentious transactional team. Her primary area of expertise includes ship finance and ship sale and purchase transactions. She has also played a pivotal role in building the firm's ship sale and purchase practice, having been involved in more than 100 such transactions and having participated in various closings. Mrs. Pradhan advises on registration as well as de-registration of Vessels and mortgages on Indian Vessels in the Indian Ship Registry / the Mercantile Marine Department, Mumbai, India.
