We think we're part of a new breed of legal services providers. One who focuses less on telling you how complex the law is, more on making it work to your advantage. Our story began more than 200 years ago when Brethertons launched as a small firm of lawyers for local farmers and landowners. We're proud of our past; it has shaped our present. But these days there's not a mahogany desk or inch of wood panelling in sight. We're now a very different set-up, operating out of three bright and bustling law offices in Banbury, Bicester and Rugby in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire. (In fact we're one of the biggest firms in these regions.) We've also got a serviced office base in Central London which serves our growing number of City and other large corporate customers. Because as well as being the law firm of choice for many private individuals who rely on our family, personal injury and private client teams, lawyers in our commercial practice advise listed and multi-national companies, banks, SMEs, owner-managed organisations, professionals, directors, and high-net-worth customers across the UK. We handle virtually every aspect of individual and business law; it's what some firms call a full-service offering. Inside our offices there is palpable teamwork, with private client lawyers sitting side-by-side with commercial colleagues, sharing expertise and tea runs. It's a hub of varied activity. While one lawyer is advising a customer on their share of the marital assets, another is unpicking the strands of a directors' falling-out. Someone is busy analysing a medical report on an injured passenger, a corporate sub-team is immersed in due diligence on a company acquisition. And all the while, an employment solicitor is getting dispute resolution support from a commercial litigator on an urgent injunction application. So far, so similar to other law firms? In many ways we are ? and that's no bad thing; there are lots of lawyers doing great things for their customers, and we're happy to be up there with the best of them. But what we're really about is doing things our way. That means drawing on the best parts of our lengthy existence: our ingrained commitment to customer care, to expertise, and to getting the right result. Our way also means being current, innovative and ready and able to adapt. Customers are moving with the times, and they're happy knowing that we're there alongside them.

We have a proud history in and around the town and look forward to further growth as a business and an employer, so that we continue to work with and serve the community's legal needs.
