Eaton Peabody, a 50+ employee law firm throughout the state of Maine, has many positive reviews from attorneys and others that have worked there. According to these reviews, the people are very nice and willing to help. The firm has a good reputation because of their ethical, competent, clever, and hardworking lawyers. Client service is solid, and the pay and benefits are competitive with other large firms in the state.
However, some of these reviews also point out that the management is poor, and the staff is not well trained. Salary can be lacking, and there is often a large turn-over rate for associates and staff. Different offices have different cultures, and the Portland office is too new to have established its own culture.
Overall, Eaton Peabody is a solid law firm with competent lawyers and a good reputation. However, there are some areas that need improvement such as management and staff training. With some improvements in these areas, Eaton Peabody could become an even better law firm.

Advice to law firm management: to train your lawyer to know the laws and not just to bill people for no reason.
Pros: there was none
Cons: the lawyer they gave to us

did not know our case and did not listen to what we were saying and did not answer our ? than quite on us before my surgery. He was all about billing us instead of doing his job and looking up the laws to help us understand.
