Loren Collins was born and raised in the Willamette Valley. After graduating from Yamhill-Carlton High School, Collins attended Willamette University as an undergraduate and then Willamette University College of Law. Collins has practiced law for over 30 years. He started his practice in Corvallis before he and wife Linda moved to Salem where they became active in the community. Collins was in private practice in Salem and served on the Salem City Council including two years as Council President. Subsequently, he served as a Senior Assistant Attorney General and then Chief Trial Counsel for the Oregon Department of Justice. After spending four years on the Oregon south coast, Collins returned to Salem in 2014 and opened his own office as Loren Collins P.C. where he represents employees and injured persons in employment, civil rights and injury cases. Collins has tried over 60 jury trials, including employment, civil rights, personal injury, medical malpractice, construction, land use and water rights cases. He has been active in the Oregon State Bar, chairing both the Bar's Federal Practice Committee and Civil Rights Section. Collins is rated by Martindale-Hubble with an AV Preeminent* rating by his peers for his high level of ethics and outstanding legal abilities. Collins and his wife, Linda, live in south Salem.
