As the managing partner of Harper Little, James enjoys an active practice in the firm's Oxford, Mississippi, office. James has 20 years of experience in business and contract law, employment law, commercial litigation, and state and federal civil litigation of all kinds. He has a master?s degree in mediation and provides mediation services and negotiation training for legal and organizational conflict. He has represented businesses in all courts in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. Prior to forming Harper Little, James served as a founding partner of Stroud & Harper, P.C., in Southaven, Mississippi, where he focused on employment, real estate, and civil litigation in Mississippi and Tennessee, and earlier as an associate at Weintraub, Stock, Bennett, Grisham & Underwood in Memphis, a labor and employment management firm.
James is a member of the Trial Lawyers College and certified by the Program on Negotiation at Harvard University. He has served on the Board of United Way of Oxford & Lafayette County, as well as other local boards and at his church in Oxford.
