Rogers & Hardin was formed in 1976 by eight lawyers who had practiced in large Atlanta and New York firms and who shared a common philosophy regarding the delivery of legal services to corporate and business clients. From its inception, the Firm has enjoyed a special reputation for its ability to advise and represent clients in connection with complex business transactions and commercial disputes. Within eight months of its founding, Rogers & Hardin was representing the nation's major airlines and the City of Atlanta, defending against antitrust and other challenges to the construction and operation of the present Atlanta airport in the high profile Midfield Terminal case. During the same period, the Firm conducted one of the first tender offers for securities of a company in bankruptcy reorganization in the North American Acceptance Corporation bankruptcy. Today, the Firm continues to conduct a sophisticated business-related litigation and corporate practice.
