The firm was established in 1974 by our founding and managing partner, Alfredo Parrish. Mr. Parrish began his career working for Legal Aid. He spent three years working for Iowans alongside Robert Pratt, now a senior judge with the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, and former United States Senator Tom Harkin.

Parrish Kruidenier has earned a reputation as being a leader in the area of criminal and civil litigation. The firm has argued well over 300 state appeals cases, 90 cases to the Federal Court of Appeals, and two cases to the United States Supreme Court. At the state court level, the firm has handled over 50 murder trials and hundreds of other criminal and civil trials. Our attorneys have been recognized as top trial lawyers, handling numerous widely publicized cases. For decades, our firm has enjoyed an unprecedented reputation in criminal and civil litigation and is perennially recognized as one of the leading firms in Iowa.
