McWilliams Law Group, a professional law corporation ("McWS Law"), was founded in 2014 by John M. McWilliams and concentrates on legal matters relating to tax law, tax planning, tax litigation, controversy and complex tax collection actions with federal and state agencies. McWilliams Law Group has offices in Irvine, California, and Bellevue and Black Diamond, Washington.

McWilliams Law Group serves as corporate and general counsel for a variety of business entities and several industries including entertainment, professional services, technology and start-up clients in the greater Los Angeles, Orange County and South Seattle areas. McWilliams Law Group provides tax planning and tax advisory services for middle market/small business entities and high net worth individuals including corporate and business law matters, mergers, acquisitions, entity reorganizations and estate planning.

McWS Law represents individuals, entrepreneurs, entertainers and small business owners, corporations, business entities and partnerships in connection with federal and state tax investigation issues involving the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Tax Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ), Franchise Tax Board (FTB), Employment Development Department (EDD), State Board of Equalization (BOE) and other local and administrative agencies. Firm representation includes advising on matters pertaining to tax audits and examinations, appeals, voluntary disclosures, collection, judicial proceedings and civil tax litigation, negotiation of settlement and resolution agreements, offers in compromise as well as other tax aspects relating to business transactions and controversy issues raised by federal and state agencies.
