Claudia Galan is a San Antonio- and McAllen-based attorney and owner of Galan Law Firm.

She specializes in immigration and family law. Her areas of focus are family-based permanent residency and citizenship petitions, deportation defense, divorce, custody and termination of parental rights, and adoption. She also works with victims of crime whether in immigration or family law cases.

Claudia Galan was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon and raised in Monclova, Coahuila. Growing up in a small town in Mexico, Claudia learned the value of hard work and the importance of family and community. She approaches her clients' cases with considerable care because she understands from her own life experience the pressures immigrants face every day. Claudia moved to the U.S. at the age of 18 and lived as an undocumented immigrant for three years. At age 21, Claudia gained permanent legal residency and became a U.S. citizen at age 26. Upon moving to the Rio Grande Valley from Mexico, Claudia attended the University of Texas Pan American where she graduated with honors (Cum Laude) in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. As a college student, Claudia worked with asylum seekers at the Texas-Mexico border and with low-income residents in the Rio Grande Valley to provide them with pro bono legal services.
