I do this by helping people navigate the process of obtaining green cards, fiance visas, immigrant visas and immigration waivers so that they can become permanent residents. As an immigration lawyer in Boise Idaho at the Schaefer Law Firm, I help people navigate the immigration process. I am a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), a national association of over 11,000 attorneys and law professors who practice and teach immigration law. I have completed intensive consular officer training offered by the Department of State at the National Foreign Affairs Training Center in Arlington, Virginia and have provided consular services in Lagos, Nigeria. I have an international background and have lived or worked in the United States, Europe, Asia and Africa. Prior to law school I served as a communications officer in the United States Marine Corps and worked in both the private and public sectors. I previously worked as an associate attorney at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in Washington, DC. I am a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center. I graduated magna cum laude and was granted Order of the Coif recognition for graduating in the top 10% of my class. During law school I was a member of the American Criminal Law Review and served as the Notes Development Editor. My practice is limited to immigration and nationality law. I am licensed to practice law by the District of Columbia and Virginia.
