After its establishment in 1966, our Firm's first international assignment was in 1970s when the Firm provided legal assistance to three major Turkish contractors for their projects in Libya and Saudi Arabia.
Also in the 1970s, our Firm assisted one of the local banks in Turkey for its transformation from a local bank to a national bank. With this unique experience, our Firm started working in the banking sector and developed its know-how in this field.
In 1980s, with the increasing foreign capital investments in Turkey, our Firm started providing legal assistance to foreign clients, who had plans to invest in Turkey, by getting them required permits and enabling them to benefit from the available incentives.
In 1990s, our Firm had the opportunity to diversify and expand its practice areas to include domestic and international arbitration. The growth in our Firm's arbitration practice led us to establish a separate department for this practice, which also receives international recognition.
In early 2000s, our Firm provided legal assistance to one of the biggest multinational telecommunication companies in relation to the collection of its receivables of few billion US Dollars from a well-known Turkish group. The success of our firm in the telecommunications sector has continued with the privatization of Turk Telekom, which was distinguished as the most successful privatization in the Central and Eastern European Region.
Also in 2000s, our Firm took part in the biggest privatizations in the country; in particular, Erdemir, Tupra? and Turk Telekom.
In 2005, our Firm established its Tax Department to give our clients tax and fiscal consultancy services.
Now, in the 21st century, our practice continues to expand to include Labor Law, Real Estate, Intellectual Property, Tax, Protection of Personal Data, Product Liability, Litigation, Domestic and International Arbitration, Banking and Finance, Anti-Corruption and Compliance and Corporate Governance.
