Fortis Law Partners is a woman-owned, boutique law firm with a focus on emerging and middle-market companies. It was formed in 2014 when longtime friends and former colleagues Julie Herzog and Christine Lamb decided to merge their respective firms. Combining their many years of experience and shared values of integrity, collaboration, problem-solving, and dedication to client service, Julie and Christine have built a firm with broad expertise spanning a range of practice areas.

What brings them together, however, is not just their skill and experience; it is their outlook and ethic. Although Fortis could easily grow larger, the firm has chosen to be selective and only hire the best people to produce the best results for clients.

Community Involvement

Fortis Law Partners is dedicated to supporting our community, both as individuals and as a firm. Our lawyers and staff believe that giving back is a privilege. In addition to the individual contributions listed on each attorney's biography, our firm regularly contributes in the following ways:

We serve as supervising attorneys to the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law students, providing valuable direction and guidance in their development, and the opportunity to apply concepts learned in law school to real-world situations.

We encourage each lawyer in our firm to work a minimum of 50 hours of pro bono time each year in addition to billable work.

We support organizations that provide free legal representation to indigent or underserved clients, including The Legal Aid Foundation and Colorado Lawyer's Committee.

We maintain active membership in the 2% Club, a philanthropic organization committed to numerous local Colorado causes.

We volunteer in the AfterHours program to feed the homeless in Denver.

We sponsor the Swigert International School in Stapleton.

We volunteer at the Anchor Center for Blind Children.

We serve on the boards of a variety of community non-profit organizations.

We actively participate in the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce and The Colorado Women's Foundation.
