Founding partner, Prof. Dr. H. Ercument Erdem, is a professor of commercial law and contracts, and has lectured in leading universities in Turkey and Switzerland. In his more than 30 years as a scholar, Prof. Dr. Erdem's research spans across competition and antitrust, distribution, supply and agency contracts, cross-border M&As, international restructurings, corporate governance and arbitration where he regularly participates as both presiding and party appointed arbitrator. He has been very active in several ICC Task Forces for drafting model contracts for international transactions. He serves as the Chair of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Commercial Law and Practice Commission, and also as the Council Member of the ICC Institute of World Business Law.

Founding partners and senior team members are widely recognized and regularly invited to panels and seminars in Turkey and abroad to speak on commercial law, competition and antitrust, international arbitration and international business transactions and current legal developments in their area of research and interest.

Our combined arbitration and litigation expertise found in our Dispute Resolution Group forms a strong basis for our core practice areas. We frequently represent our clients in disputes in a wide variety of industries, including finance, energy, mining, manufacturing, transportation, telecommunications, insurance, construction, infrastructure and sports. We act as lead counsel or arbitrators in commercial and investment-treaty disputes arising in Western and Eastern Europe, CIS, Middle East and Africa that involve claims valued in the billions of dollars. We have many years of experience in efficiently coordinating multijurisdictional litigations for our clients, as well as handling insolvency situations, particularly where assets are at immediate risk.
