SSEK is founded and moves into a brand new building, Mayapada Tower, in the heart of Jakarta's business district.
SSEK's senior foreign legal advisor, Darrell R. Johnson, manages the Economic Law and Improved Procurement (ELIPS) Project, the largest single-country law reform project in the world, on behalf of the project contractors. Members of SSEK participate on the Board of Advisors of the ELIPS Project until 1998, helping to draft, finalize and socialize several laws, including the Company Law and the Fiducia Law.
