Apryl had an interesting path to get to where she is today, and her history is what makes her a unique attorney and perhaps the right choice to work with you.
Originally from Indiana, Apryl moved to Birmingham, Alabama in middle school. She graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University with a degree in Political Science and English, and received a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Virginia. After graduate school she moved to Northeast Tennessee where she taught at a junior college before getting her real estate license in 1993. Apryl was a top producing agent, worked with Cartus Relocation clients, got her broker's license in 2006, and earned the CRS, GRI, and e-Pro designations. She focused on educating others about contracts, agency, Fair Housing issues, ethics, and professionalism throughout her real estate career; taught classes to new agents and seasoned agents; and established and conducted training programs
After her nearly 20 years as a real estate agent and broker in Tennessee, Apryl relocated to Charleston where she graduated cum laude from the Charleston School of Law. Shortly after graduation, Apryl spent a year with a large non-profit in Washington, DC, where she worked alongside case managers to achieve housing stability for formerly homeless clients. Apryl then returned to South Carolina to take the bar exam and pursue practice as an attorney. While in Charleston, she also worked for a real estate company in Mount Pleasant and began teaching real estate courses for a real estate school. Apryl has been certified by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission as an instructor for several years and has taught real estate continuing education classes, broker classes, pre-licensing classes, and advanced principles in real estate. She moved to Myrtle Beach in 2017 and was the real estate attorney at a local firm before starting her own solo practice.
