Temus C. Miles, Jr. Managing Member Originally from Lake City, South Carolina, Tem learned early the small-town values of hard work and helping your neighbors. After graduating from Lake City High School, Tem attended The Citadel and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. He then went to work in management for a regional trucking company for three years before attending and graduating from law school. After Graduating from law school, Tem was admitted to the South Carolina Bar Association and licensed as an attorney in South Carolina in 2006. Tem began his legal career at the South Carolina Court of Appeals, where he served for two years as the Law Clerk to the Honorable Paul E. Short, Jr. reviewing cases on appeal. At the conclusion of this clerkship, Tem was hired by the Office of Senate Research at the South Carolina Senate, where he worked as an attorney for two years researching legal issues and drafting legislation for various senators. In 2010, Tem joined a midsize civil litigation law firm in Columbia, S.C. He practiced in the areas of Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, and General Civil Litigation and was made a partner in the law firm. Tem served six years on City Council of West Columbia and was elected Mayor of West Columbia in November 2019. Tem founded The Miles Law Firm, LLC in January 2020. Tem and his wife, Cassie, live in West Columbia with their three daughters, Emma, Cate, and Charlotte.
