William Franklin (Partner, non-solicitor) is a Chartered Accountant who is widely recognised as a leading advisor on the accounting and financial aspects of all forms of remuneration, incentive and employee share schemes. He has considerable experience in negotiation with HMRC, and is a leading expert in determining the market value for tax purposes of shares, specialising in unquoted companies. He previously worked for Pinsent Masons and Ernst & Young.

Stephen Woodhouse (Partner) is a tax lawyer who was a partner at Deloitte LLP from 1999 to 2014. He joined us on 1st December 2013 to grow the Firm's practice; bringing with him 30 years experience of employee share scheme and remuneration tax advice. He writes regularly in the tax press, including being the original author of two chapters in Tolley's Tax Planning.

Pett, Franklin & Co. LLP was established in 2010 by William Franklin and David Pett, who stepped down as a Partner from the firm in April 2017.

Our multi-disciplinary practice is able to offer our clients a fully joined-up share scheme advisory service which integrates the relevant legal, tax and financial aspects (including accounting, share valuation and financial modelling).

We are members of the Employee Share Ownership (Esop) Centre, the Employee Ownership Association (EOA) and ProShare.
