Our history

The story of our firm began in 1970, when Tassos Papadopoulos, who later became the President of the Republic of Cyprus, founded his law practice. The early era saw the late founder as a sole practitioner. Since then, the firm has grown to become one of the leading law practices in Cyprus.

In 2016, to cater to our ever-expanding numbers and volume of business, the Tassos Papadopoulos and Associates LLC offices moved to the Jason Building on 10 Iasonos street, Nicosia, a contemporary office space.
A half-century of experience

Today, we are proud to say Tassos Papadopoulos and Associates LLC is a full service law firm. Our highly qualified and experienced lawyers offer their services across all major areas of law, including banking & finance, energy, company, corporate & commercial, construction, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, competition,, immigration, tax, insurance, administration, public procurement, employment as well as intellectual property and data protection.

Our work is varied and expansive: we have taken on Cyprus M&As, transferred banking operations, managed the purchase and sale of credit facilities and litigated numerous landmark cases before all Court levels in Cyprus. We also focus on providing services to key stakeholders in large construction projects, and our top executives are internationally recognised as reliable arbitrators across key areas of law.

Our team consists of 30 lawyers, who are consistently supported by their trainees, as well as our administrative staff. We also cooperate with numerous professionals with expertise in an array of specialised industries and practices.
