OlarteMoure began operations on July 14, 2003, when Carlos R. Olarte decided to leave his position as a partner in an international law firm in Bogot?, to forge new horizons that would allow him to provide his clients with a better and more efficient legal service in the intellectual property areas. Likewise, in 2004 Juan G. Moure disassociated himself from the public sector, after several years in the administration of the industrial property system, and joined the Firm to also incorporate a useful vision from the official perspective.

Thanks to the trust that several companies had in the work carried out by the OlarteMoure team, and by its partners, an excellent practice was quickly consolidated, not only in the area of ??patents and plant varieties, but also of brands, unfair competition , health registries, copyrights, restrictive competition practices, and various other issues that allow us today to provide all services related to intellectual property, with special emphasis on the defense of such rights.

OlarteMoure has a team of more than one hundred people, including two partners, four area directors, three managers, fourteen coordinators and more than fifty associates. In support of this great growth, and for the benefit of our clients, in 2010 we opened our new and modern offices in two large architectural conservation houses, located in the traditional Barrio de La Merced in downtown Bogot?. Additionally, we have offices in Medellin, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga and Tokyo.
