Cynthia Speetjens has been recognized by her peers for her experience and expertise in the courtroom, having successfully tried to verdict over 200 cases in her 30 years in the practice of law. In 15 years as a state prosecutor, she obtained the death penalty on seven occasions for the State, and successfully defended her client from the death penalty in the only instance of capital murder prosecuted by the federal government in the State of Mississippi to date. She has obtained successful results for clients both on the side of the plaintiff and defense in civil litigation, and has served as an adjunct professor of law in the area of trial practice at the Mississippi College School of Law
