Our Team Approach

As a matter of routine, attorneys will gather to discuss liability, exposure and values. Our clients benefit from years of experience across different disciplines that shape an action plan for success.
Legacy of Success
Piasecki & Whitelaw has its roots in a partnership that began in the early 1980's. Psak & Parker was formed by George L. Psak and John R. Parker with a focus on personal injury defense, workers compensation, collections, creditors bankruptcy, and a small general practice that included some residential real estate and wills. By 1984, James B. Graziano, Chris E. Piasecki and Donald B. Whitelaw were all associates in the firm. By 1990, all three associates became partners in the firm. However, it was not until 1997, when John R. Parker left to pursue a solo personal injury defense practice that the firm name changed to Psak, Graziano, Piasecki & Whitelaw. By that time, Mark J. Simko and Jean E. Coelho were associates in the firm. In December of 2005, with a desire to refocus and expand the practice areas, James B. Graziano, Chris E. Piasecki and Donald B. Whitelaw formed Graziano, Piasecki & Whitelaw, accompanied by longtime associates, Mark J. Simko and Jean E. Coelho. George Psak went on to become a Workers Compensation Judge. The current practice structure and focus of Piasecki & Whitelaw was built during the Graziano, Piasecki & Whitelaw years. The firm name changed in November of 2018 when James B. Graziano announced that he was stepping down in order to accept an appointment as Director of the New Jersey Division of Alcohol Beverage Control. All of us at Piasecki & Whitelaw have had the benefit of varied experience and quality mentorship from those who preceded us. We believe it has positioned us to continue a tradition of being client focused and results driven.
