When a corporate CEO was found by the legacy Immigration Service not to qualify for the nonimmigrant intercompany executive transferee because the foreign company he led was sold from the parent, Gee & Zhang was able to persuade the government he qualified under a professional classification permitting him to work in the U.S. for three years. While we do not guarantee success on an immigration case, one alien retained our services even when we estimated only a 15% chance of success and we succeeded! Our immigration practice is well suited for providing legal counseling and services in virtually every area of immigration and immigration-related law. We are especially well suited for counseling domestic and foreign companies with regard to visas for employment and temporary and permanent residence in the United States. The Firm has expertise in Immigration-related issues such as nonimmigrant treaty trader and treaty investor visas for foreign companies and their employees and immigrant labor certification. We have represented foreign nationals in attaining permanent residency status through the EB-5 Immigrant Investor program. We can also give guidance on employer sanctions and unfair immigration related employment practices. Additionally, our litigation practice represents clients in all aspects of immigration litigation. The Firm advises clients in many aspects of commercial activity including business formation, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, service agreements, distribution agreements, licensing agreements and joint ventures/partnership arrangements. The Firm's international practice helps foreign and domestic clients in their international business endeavors. This includes providing support to domestic clients wishing to establish operations abroad.
