Willson Jones Carter & Baxley, P.A. is an insurance defense law firm with seven offices in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. The firm celebrated its eighteen year anniversary on June 2, 2020. In June of 2002, Hal Willson and Jeff Jones founded Willson & Jones, LLC in Greenville, South Carolina. In February 2003, Allison Carter & Johnnie Baxley joined the firm and opened an office in Charleston, South Carolina and the firm's name changed to Willson Jones Carter & Baxley, P.A.
In February 2005, Michael Burkett joined the firm and established the firm's Columbia office. The firm expanded into North Carolina in 2008 with the opening of a Charlotte office headed by Kenny Coble. The second North Carolina office opened in Raleigh in August 2010 and is now led by Matt Meany.
In January 2013, the firm opened its sixth office in Atlanta, Georgia. Will Naglich manages that office.
In May 2018, Lee Gremillion joined the firm and established the seventh office location in Myrtle Beach, SC.
The firm has a total of seventy-four attorneys, twenty-six in Greenville, fifteen in Charleston, fourteen in Columbia, ten in Charlotte, five in Raleigh, two in Atlanta and two in Myrtle Beach. WJCB is an insurance defense law fim that handles workers' compensation and liability litigation matters for all types of insurance carriers, employers, self-insured funds and government entities.
