Turken & Heath, LLP is a boutique defense firm established in 2013 by its two partners, Jason Turken and Andy Heath, each of whom has 25 years of experience as a litigator, counselor and trial advocate. Most of their careers have been spent defending and advising companies, academic medical centers, physicians and their practices, nurses, long term care and rehabilitation facilities, not-for-profits, building owners, industrial plants and individuals against pending and threatened legal disputes.



Both attorneys began practicing in 1989; Jason as an associate at Bower & Gardner, which was then the pre-eminent medical malpractice and healthcare defense firm in New York, and Andy as a prosecutor at the Westchester County District Attorney's Office. In 1994, they began working together, first as associates and then as partners, at the Manhattan office of AmLaw 100 law firm Sedgwick LLP (formerly Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold, LLP). Together and separately, they have successfully defended innumerable medical malpractice, toxic tort, environmental, general liability, commercial, insurance, employment, property damage, and construction actions in New York City, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Nassau, Suffolk and other counties and courts in the region, including the New York federal district courts and 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals.
