Our Firm - Over 50 Years of Legal Excellence
Clair Law is currently one of the longest established legal practices in Walworth County. We have offices in Lake Geneva and Delavan and have been serving the surrounding area for over 50 years. Shortly after World War II, Mr. John H. Kenney (1908-1974) established a law office in Delavan, Wisconsin. In 1961, J. Edward Clair began practicing law in Chicago, Illinois. Eleven years later, J. Edward Clair joined with Mr. Kenney and the partnership of Kenney & Clair was formed, here in Walworth County. Thereafter, in 1978, the professional service corporation of Clair Law Offices, S.C. was established and the tradition of providing our community with quality legal services continued. In 2019, the firm changed its name to Clair, Thompson & Pollard, S.C. in recognition of its change in partners. Even with the name change, the foundation of the firm will forever and always be Clair, which explains why clients, attorneys, and staff simply know the firm as Clair Law.

The attorneys at Clair Law provide the communities in southeastern Wisconsin a high level of experience and professionalism. Edward F. Thompson began practicing law in Delavan in 1978 and joined the firm in 1984. Ed Thompson expends considerable effort in areas of real estate, foreclosure, riparian rights, corporate law, probate, estate planning, wills and trusts. Charles W. Pollard IV, better known as Chad, became the President of the firm in 2020. Attorney Pollard's practice focuses on real estate; zoning, planning and land use law; civil litigation; including lake rights and property line disputes; commercial litigation; and corporate law.

In 2019, Clair Law further reinforced its practice by hiring another promising attorney, Elli Ehlen, who grew up in Lake Geneva. Attorney Ehlen joined Clair Law the summer after graduating from Marquette Law School with a focus on residential and commercial real estate, business development and dispute resolution, and estate planning.
