Mr. Gursoy is the founder of the Gursoy Law Firm, P.C. which has offices in Brooklyn, New York and New Jersey.

He has been a trial and transactional lawyer for over 20 years and has successfully represented thousands of clients for a wide range of legal matters. Mr. Gursoy has been, and continues to be, a frequent writer and contributor to many national and international newspapers. He also often lectures and teaches other lawyers about the practice of law.

Mr. Gursoy began his career focusing on civil and commercial litigation, following his experience in the Commercial Division of the New York State Supreme Court during the beginning of his career. He has litigated many Federal Court actions, including maritime and shipping industry matters throughout the various Federal Judicial Courts, as well as voluminous commercial matters in the State Courts of New York and New Jersey.

The Gursoy Law Firm team also has a tremendous amount of experience handling complex immigration law matters. He has conducted hundreds of Court trials and hearings and successfully represented countless numbers of clients throughout various Federal Courts and Immigration Courts. The Gursoy Law Firm has a concentration of Immigration Court defense, including but not limited to asylum cases, and other deportation matters and cases. Mr. Gursoy is often hired by other lawyers to assist them with complicated cases, including criminal convictions, as well as representing clients for various interests in Federal Court and Immigration Courts. The Gursoy Law Firm also handles matters related to the United States Citizenship & Immigration Service ("USCIS") for work visas, investor visas, family and marriage cases, and many other types of green card and adjustment of status cases.

Mr. Gursoy has also successfully represented hundreds of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy clients in the Federal Courts, during his over 20 years of practice. As a result of his representation, his clients have been freed of their credit card debt and have been able to get a fresh start, while at the same time keeping their home, car and salary!

Mr. Gursoy is licensed in the States of New York and New Jersey, as well as the Federal District Courts of New York for the Southern and Eastern Districts, the District of New Jersey, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also a proud member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. He was also featured in the Wall Street Journal as a recipient of the National Leadership Award as an Honorary Co-Chairman of the Business Advisory Council.
