HISTORY

The firm was founded by Rene Cacheaux, Daniel Cavazos and Joseph B. Newton in January, 1994, with offices in San Antonio, McAllen and Mexico City .The founding partners had worked for years representing global clients in complex business transactions and related legal issues in Mexico and the U.S. As commercial ties among NAFTA signatories Canada, Mexico and the U.S. grew, CCN expanded in Texas and Mexico, where it now has ten offices and almost 60 attorneys to serve clients on both sides of the border.

The growth of CCN's practice grew alongside the implementation of the NAFTA, particularly in the automotive, electronics, real estate, textile, energy, finance, agricultural, and general manufacturing sectors. Additional growth has come from Mexican and other foreign investors carrying out business in Texas and the United States. The firm has successfully handled a significant number of complex projects for its clients and always looks forward to new opportunities and challenges.
