A Law Firm Focused on Medical Malpractice Defense
We Represent Health Care and Dental Care Professionals, Medical Practices, Nurses & Hospitals in New Jersey
For more than 30 years we have devoted our services to representing New Jersey's medical and dental professionals, nurses, medical facilities and hospitals where their actions have been called into question. This single concentration has allowed us to develop an extremely deep understanding of medical malpractice claims and what it takes to successfully defend them. Our firm is led by founding partner Jeffrey A. Krompier, who is widely recognized in the field. His steadfast work in the courtroom and at the negotiating table has earned him awards, such as being named a New Jersey Super Lawyer and certifications including New Jersey Certified Civil Trial Attorney, National Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate and National Board Certified Civil Pretrial Practice Advocate.
Our success is founded on a result-oriented litigation style and aggressive, hard-nosed effort. We understand how stressful and damaging a malpractice claim can be. The cost of litigation ? personally and professionally ? can be devastating. Our attorneys diligently analyze each case, identifying the most efficient and effective route to a positive resolution.
Firm History
Krompier & Tamn was originally founded in 1986 by Jeffrey A. Krompier as a solo practice in Union, New Jersey. At that time, Mr. Krompier practiced predominantly in the field of medical malpractice defense litigation. Three short years later, the firm expanded and relocated to larger offices in Florham Park. By 2000, the firm doubled in size and relocated once again to its present location in Parsippany. In 2013, Richard J. Tamn became a partner and the name of the firm was changed to reflect the new partnership.
Our Attorneys
As diverse as our firm's clientele may be, so too are the backgrounds of the attorneys upon whom our clients rely. We currently have a staff of seven attorneys and two paralegals, many of whom have worked on the inside of the legal system serving as clerks or interns for state and federal judges at the trial and/or appellate level. All of our firm members are affiliated with various bar associations and litigation specialty organizations and actively participate in continuing legal education.
Support Staff
As with any successful organization, the ultimate strength of the whole is largely dependent on the strength of each individual component ? not the least of which is the support staff. Our staff is second to none, providing the necessary assistance which a thriving litigation practice demands. Each staff member recognizes that providing quality service is essential to success.
Client Service is Top Priority
We are committed to providing cost-effective malpractice defense representation. We believe clients should receive service from the individual within our firm best suited to render that service. As a result, attorneys do not perform tasks which can be as expertly rendered by members of the support staff. With this in mind, the division of responsibility between attorney, paralegal, secretary and clerk is highly defined and strictly monitored. A litigated matter is typically managed by the combined effort of a senior attorney, junior attorney and paralegal. Billable services, however, are provided by the individual who is best suited to render that service without unnecessary added expense.
