Attorney Roy Froemming's background includes seven years as staff attorney and ten years as managing attorney for developmental disabilities advocacy at the Wisconsin Coalition for Advocacy (now Disability Rights Wisconsin), three years as co-director of the first elder benefit specialist program in Wisconsin, three years as state coordinator of Wisconsin's Self-Determination Learning Project, and two years as attorney for Movin' Out, a housing organization that promotes home ownership by and for people with disabilities and their families. Roy is an honors graduate of Yale College and the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Since beginning his private practice in 2003, Roy has represented over 650 clients in developing or advising on their estate plans. He has drafted 200 Supplemental Needs Trusts and has also provided legal services to 115 clients in creating trust accounts through WisPACT, Inc. He has represented over 160 families in establishing guardianships.

Roy is a member of the Board of Directors of the ElderLaw section of the State Bar of Wisconsin and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He has spoken and written widely on issues related to public benefits, estate planning, long-term support, home ownership, guardianship, and protective services.
