Mr. Levit has acted as chair, sole arbitrator, emergency and wing arbitrator in well over 100 commercial disputes, both domestic and international, under a variety of rules and arbitral regimes including the American Arbitration Association, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, the International Chamber of Commerce, the CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution, the New York Stock Exchange, NASD, UNCITRAL, and other ad hoc rules and procedures. More often than not he has served as panel chair or sole arbitrator.

The cases Mr. Levit has arbitrated have involved a vast array of parties and industries. His first case was as sole arbitrator in 1977 in Los Angeles in a dispute between a well known Hollywood starlet and a prominent national securities firm. Within the past few years parties from Japan, Korea, India, Bolivia, Germany, Qatar, Canada, Venezuela, Mexico, Finland and Italy as well as the United States and Puerto Rico have appeared in arbitrations before him. The subject matter has been quite diverse, including contract disputes; trade regulation; franchise and distribution rights; breach of warranty; executive employment disputes; professional liability; law firm partnership disputes; accounting disputes; mining; corporate, joint venture, LLC and partnership disputes; securities; private equity; insurance and reinsurance; healthcare; medical devices; hospital mergers; real estate development; mortgage loan servicing; software and other technology disputes; and intellectual property including patent licensing.

Mr. Levit's work as a mediator is equally wide ranging in terms of the number and nature of the businesses and disputes he has dealt with but his mediation case load has a decidedly domestic emphasis to it. He is a Certified Mediator by the International Mediation Institute in The Hague. Mr. Levit has mediated scores of complex commercial disputes ranging from a high nine figure take or pay contract case; to a five party securities/investment advisor/investor dispute; to pharmaceutical licensing disputes; software disputes; franchise and product distribution disputes; LLC and shareholder disputes; an aircraft purchase and sale dispute; Native American law disputes; various kinds of insurance and reinsurance disputes; employment disputes; a multi-party condemnation case; real estate disputes; to a dispute involving a family office and one of its clients and asbestos claims.
