Jerome A. Diekemper

Jerry Diekemper, a licensed attorney in the State of Missouri since 1972, now focuses his work on alternative dispute resolution, especially mediation and arbitration. He also provides services as an independent investigator and expert witness.

For the first thirty-four years of his practice he concentrated his practice on labor and employment law, representing unions and individual employees. In 1993, he conducted his first mediation. Since then he has been selected by parties in over 1500 disputes to serve as mediator. In June, 2006, Jerry formed Jerome A. Diekemper, LLC to concentrate on mediation and arbitration.

Jerry has been included in every edition of the Best Lawyers in America since 1983. In the 2009 edition, he was listed in the areas of Alternative Dispute Resolution and Labor and Employment Law. In 2011, he was named the best labor and employment lawyer in St. Louis and in 2013 as the best arbitrator. In the November 2006 and 2007 Editions of Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers, Jerry was included in the Top 100 list of Missouri-Kansas lawyers and the Top 50 list of St. Louis lawyers. Jerry is a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and an Advanced Workplace Practitioner in the Association for Conflict Resolution, and a member of the National Academy of Arbitrators. In the June 19, 2017 issue of Missouri Lawyers Weekly, he was listed as the Best Independent Arbitrator (tie) and the second Best Mediator (tie) in the State of Missour.

Jerry is a certified mediator on the lists of the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Circuit Courts of St. Louis City and St. Louis County Missouri. He is also on the Mediation Panel and Labor Mediation Panel of the American Arbitration Association.

As an arbitrator, Jerry is a member of the Roster of Arbitrators of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service and is a member of the Commercial Employment and Labor Arbitration Panels of the American Arbitration Association. He is also on the permanent panels of the State of Illinois and AFSCME, District 31 and B and B Trucking, Inc and American Postal Workers Union for labor arbitrations and Kraft Foods for non-union employee discharge arbitrations.
