Mahir S. Nisar is a Partner of Nisar Law Group, P.C. Mr. Nisar is an experienced litigator with versatile legal expertise in a number of practice areas. Mahir received his education at Vanderbilt University and Hofstra University School of Law, an institution now known as Maurice A. Deane School of Law. During his time in law school, Mr. Nisar studied both commercial and civil litigation. Following his graduation from law school, Mahir joined a highly reputable law firm located in Queens County where he gained invaluable experience handling civil litigation and commercial matters. Mr. Nisar handled all aspects of litigation and earned an impressive record of favorable results for his clients.

Mr. Nisar has represented both plaintiffs and defendants, giving him the versatility and important insight to anticipate his opponent's strategies. Due to his former experience as a tennis professional, his anticipatory aggression and gentle diplomacy make him a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom. With that being said, his vast experience of conducting both numerous bench trials and jury trials have made him no stranger to alternative dispute resolution methods such as negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.

As a member of the Queens County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and the Nassau County Bar Association, Mr. Nisar is an active member in a number of esteemed professional legal committees. He also served a term as an elected Board of Director of the Westbury Business Industrial Development (BID). Mr. Nisar is also a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA).

Mr. Nisar recently received the honor of being included to 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017s' New York Metro Super Lawyers? Rising Stars? list and was widely showcased in a number of publications for his accomplishments, including the New York Times in October 2014-2017.

During his free time, Mr. Nisar can often be found traveling, playing tennis, and volunteering with local animal rescue groups. Mr. Nisar frequently provides pro bono legal counsel to rescue volunteers and other local nonprofit organizations. Mr. Nisar is qualified to practice law in all the State Courts in New York and New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Court Eastern District of New York, the U.S. District Court Southern District of New York, and the U.S. District Court of New Jersey.
