His practice includes patent prosecution and procurement, patent licensing, litigation support, opinion drafting, and intellectual property counseling. A brief sampling of the technology areas William covers includes wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, IoE, NFC and LTE), semiconductor fabrication techniques, analog circuits, digital circuits and processing, networking architectures (Ethernet, IPv4, IPv6, EPON, EPOC, and HomePlug), programmable logic devices (PLDs), and satellite communications.
Previously, William was a partner at Mahamedi Paradice LLP for ten years. Prior to his tenure at Mahamedi Paradice LLP, William practiced law as an associate at Skjerven Morrill MacPherson Franklin & Friel in San Jose and at Flehr Hohbach in San Francisco, where he was active in patent litigation support, patent prosecution and licensing, patent validity and infringement opinions, and trademark prosecution.
William received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1990. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, graduating Cum Laude in 1993.
He is admitted to practice law in the state of California and registered before United States Patent and Trademark Office.
