Our lawyers have been involved with various community boards and organizations and have supported local organizations focused on assisting under-represented constituents, including minorities, children, and women: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA of Hidalgo), Heart Gallery of Hidalgo County (promoting awareness, understanding and adoption of children in the foster care program), Habitat for Humanity and Rotary Clubs International. Dan Worthington is a past president of McAllen-South Rotary Club, Sofia Ramon is a Director of CASA and Elizabeth Cantu is a Director with the Hidalgo County Bar and President of the Women's Bar Section.
Professional Service

Our lawyers frequently speak at State and National conferences and education programs. In addition, Sofia is the current Area Vice President [Rio Grande Valley/Corpus] of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and serves on the State Bar of Texas Litigation Council. Dan is a former president of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, is a past national director of the DRI and is on the Lawyers' Committee of the National Center for State Courts.
