Chen Horwitz & Franklin represents litigants in all aspects of trial and appellate practice in state and federal courts throughout California. Chen Horwitz & Franklin was formed in 2016 by three partners from the firm Schaffer, Lax, McNaughton & Chen, which was established in 1987. Alex Chen, John Horwitz, and Rusty Franklin are veteran counselors, litigators and trial attorneys, each with more than a quarter century of litigation experience. Senior Associates Cynthia Kitchen and Brad DeBlanc have expertise in many of the Firm's practice areas and possess significant litigation and trial experience. The Firm also enjoys the services of Clifford Schaffer and David Highman, both of whom were former partners of Schaffer, Lax, McNaughton & Chen, and both have top tier expertise and vast litigation experience and are well respected senior members of the California Bar.
