Because all of the lawyers at ELC specialize in the same practice area, there are very few types of probate and trust disputes that our firm does not encounter regularly. We have litigated dozens of will contests and trust contests, claims of fiduciary mismanagement and breach of trust and fiduciary duty, questions of intestate succession, community property claims, probate and trust accountings, and the many other issues that can arise upon a person's death and the distribution of his or her assets.

Because we both prosecute and defend claims and represent both beneficiaries and fiduciaries, our attorneys regularly view disputes from a variety of perspectives, which works to the benefit of our clients. We have published extensively, including the lion's share of the two volume treatise "California Trust and Probate Litigation" published by the California CEB. And we have been regularly recognized by our peers ? with six of our nine attorneys being named as Northern California "Super Lawyers" or "Rising Stars," and two of our attorneys being named among the "Best Lawyers" in Northern California.
